Vijay’s latest political thriller Sarkar is the Most Awaited movie of 2018, which released this Deepavali Without a competition. The Film is Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures.
The film has been released on around 3400+ screens worldwide and has received an overwhelming response from the audiences. The budget of Sarkar is said to be around Rs 45+ crore.
Sarkar Box Office Chennai Collection:
Sarkar has been released in almost all the single screens and multiplexes located in the Chennai region and Collected Rs. 2.30 crores on the First Day in Chennai.
This is the Biggest record opening for Sarkar, beating Rajinikanth’s Kaala’s earlier record of Rs 1.76 crore. Sarkar stands at the top of the box office collection figures in Chennai.

Sarkar Box Office Tamil Nadu Collection:
The first day box office collection of Sarkar estimates Rs.30 crore as the gross revenue today only in Tamil Nadu. Sarkar also raging opening in the USA on first Monday premiere day with $300+K gross. This is the 2nd highest Tamil premieres this year, after Kaala.
Sarkar is doing extremely good in Tamil Nadu and international market. Its is the third collaboration between Vijay and AR Murugadoss. They previously worked together on Thuppakki (2012) and Kaththi (2014).
Music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, edited by Sreekar Prasad, The Film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Radha Ravi.
